Часто задаваемые вопросы
•Can servers be configured to my exact specification?
Yes — built-to-order is the normal model here. You specify processor family, memory, drive layout, RAID, network interfaces and power options, and the factory assembles and burn-in tests the configuration. Expect 30–60 days from confirmed order depending on component availability, plus transit time.
•What about firmware, OS support and management interfaces?
x86-based machines run standard Linux distributions and common server operating systems; most include IPMI/BMC remote management. Elbrus and Baikal platforms use their own OS builds and toolchains, so they suit specific projects rather than general workloads. Ask the supplier for a supported-OS list before ordering.
•How do warranty and spare parts work for a buyer in the Gulf or Africa?
Typical warranty is 12–36 months. Since manufacturers rarely have local service centers abroad, support is usually remote diagnostics plus shipment of replacement parts — drives, PSUs, fans. Many buyers order a small spare-parts kit with the main batch; this is cheaper than emergency air shipments later.
•Is overland delivery to Central Asia really faster than sea freight?
For Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, yes. Trucks and rail move directly across EAEU borders without port handling, typically arriving in 1–3 weeks. For the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, sea freight from Novorossiysk or St. Petersburg is standard and takes longer — plan 4–8 weeks door to port.
•What payment terms do server manufacturers usually accept?
Most exporters work on prepayment or a split such as 50% on order and 50% before shipment, by bank transfer. Letters of credit are possible with larger factories. Discuss currency and banking route early — suppliers are experienced with payments from the Gulf, Turkey, Central Asia and other regions.
•Are network cabinets and racks sold separately from servers?
Yes. The category includes a wide line of 19-inch cabinets — wall-mounted from 15U, floor-standing up to 42U and more, with glass or metal doors. They follow the EIA-310 standard and accept equipment of any brand. Cabinets ship flat-packed or assembled; flat-packed saves significant freight volume.
