Mixing several set types and colors inside one shipment is standard practice and usually adds little or nothing to the price.
•How is shipping cost calculated for such lightweight goods?
Sand toys and sleds are volume cargo, so freight is driven by cubic meters, not weight. Suppliers usually state carton dimensions and pieces per carton in their offers, which lets you calculate cost per unit landed. Nesting designs, where buckets and molds stack inside each other, can cut volume by 30 percent or more.
•Which safety documents come with the toys?
Toys sold in Russia are certified under the EAEU technical regulation on toy safety and carry the EAC mark. Exporters provide the certificate copy, test protocols and material composition data. These documents typically support local conformity procedures in Central Asian markets directly and serve as a technical file basis elsewhere.
•Can we order our own colors or branded packaging?
Yes, within limits. Color changes are simple because molders just switch the masterbatch, usually from around one production run per color. Branded cartons, stickers or header cards are also common. New custom molds are a bigger investment and only make sense for large recurring volumes.
•What lead times should an importer plan for?
Stock items often ship within 7 to 14 days. Production orders in custom colors typically take 20 to 40 days depending on season; spring is peak time as factories build stock for summer. Add sea transit of roughly 25 to 45 days to the Gulf or East Africa depending on routing.
