Underground horizontal drainage tanks (hereinafter referred to as tanks) with nominal volumes from 1,5 to 100 m3 , working without pressure (under loading) or under pressure not more than 0,07 MPa (0,7 kgf/cm2) and media temperatures from minus 15°C to 80°C. designed for draining light and dark petroleum products, oil, oils, condensate (including those mixed with water), containing in the gas phase H2S not more than 0.18% of the volume, from technological networks (pipelines) and apparatuses at enterprises of chemical, petrochemical, refining, oil and gas industries.
Hazard class of working environments is 2, 3 and 4 according to GOST 12.1.007.
Drained liquid should have density not more than 1300 kg/m3, kinematic viscosity up to 30-10-6 m2/s.
Tanks are not intended for discharge of liquefied hydrocarbon gases, for their use with lining, gumming or other internal coatings.
Technical conditions establish two types of tanks:
EP - underground tanks without heater;
EPP...
