•What about firmware, OS support and management interfaces?
x86-based machines run standard Linux distributions and common server operating systems; most include IPMI/BMC remote management. Elbrus and Baikal platforms use their own OS builds and toolchains, so they suit specific projects rather than general workloads. Ask the supplier for a supported-OS list before ordering.
•How do warranty and spare parts work for a buyer in the Gulf or Africa?
Typical warranty is 12–36 months. Since manufacturers rarely have local service centers abroad, support is usually remote diagnostics plus shipment of replacement parts — drives, PSUs, fans.
