It is made of biologically inert lavsan (polyester) complex threads with fluorocarbon coating, which do not resorb and do not lose strength and elasticity under the influence of tissue fluids for a long period of time. The basic knitted structure of the mesh endoprosthesis ensures that the edges are not loose when cut, while the special weave ensures dimensional stability and limited stretchability in all directions.
The fluorocarbon coating provides, on the one hand, anti-adhesive properties in the first hours after implantation (before mesothelialisation) and, on the other hand, bioinertness and resistance to infection.
