Russian fall-protection gear is certified under EAEU technical regulation TR CU 019, with test methods closely mirroring the European EN 361, EN 355 and EN 360 standards — static strength, dynamic drop tests, energy absorption limits. Suppliers provide test certificates per batch. If your market formally requires EN or ANSI marking, discuss it upfront; some factories hold additional certificates.
•What is the shelf life and service life of textile fall-protection gear?
Typical manufacturer figures are 5 years of service from first use and up to 10 years total from production date for webbing products, subject to periodic inspection. Each item carries a serial-numbered label with production date. Metal hardware — carabiners, anchors — has no calendar limit but requires regular inspection per the manual.
•Can I get my own brand on the products?
Yes, private labeling is common in this niche. From roughly 200–500 units per model, factories will sew in your brand labels, print your packaging and user instructions, and select webbing colors. Your branding does not affect the certification as long as the technical design is unchanged.
•How much fits in a container, and what does that mean for unit freight cost?
Textile PPE packs very densely — a 20-foot container takes several thousand harnesses or lanyards depending on model, making per-unit ocean freight to the Gulf or East Africa marginal. Most distributors order mixed containers: harnesses, lanyards, anchors and ropes consolidated from one or several factories through a single shipment.
•What lead times are realistic for a mixed distributor order?
Standard models are usually produced within 20–40 days for carton-to-pallet quantities; container-scale mixed orders typically need 30–60 days plus transit. Repeat orders run faster once patterns, labels and packaging are settled. Sea freight adds 4–7 weeks to the Middle East or Africa; overland to Central Asia takes 1–3 weeks.
