The ventilated ball drum mill is designed for grinding anthracites, hard and brown coal, shale and other materials to dusty state and is designed for continuous operation in dust preparation systems at thermal power plants.
In the ventilated mill the coal grinding process takes place simultaneously with its drying inside the drum. The coal together with the drying agent is fed into the drum through the coal feeding spigot, and the finished coal dust is carried out of the drum through the dust discharge spigot by the same agent.
The size of a piece of fuel fed for grinding should not exceed 25 mm. The mill is made with left or right drive arrangement, if you look at the end of the mill from the side of the toothed ring installation.
