The KP21 roadheader is designed for mechanisation of stripping and loading of rock mass in horizontal and inclined from -18 to +12 mine workings in coal and dust hazardous mines, construction of underground structures and development of ore and non-metallic mineral deposits. The roadheader can pass arched, trapezoidal and rectangular form workings with cross-section from 10 to 28 m2 in coal and rocks with uniaxial compression strength of 100MPa.The executive body of the combine is equipped with a longitudinal-axis conical cutting crown, telescopically extending boom, a system of water supply to the cutters of the crown to reduce dust formation and provide explosion protection against frictional sparking.The running gear of the combine provides the combine with high manoeuvrability.The loading body provides effective loading of the broken off rock mass.Hydraulic drives of the running gear and loading body allow the combine to work in waterlogged faces.
