For hotel lobbies we recommend 2-seat (120 cm) and 3-seat (160-180 cm) upholstered benches with hardwood frames rated for 150 kg per seat. Russian factories standardly produce beech and birch frames with M8 bolted joints — pull a sample frame before bulk MOQ. For high-traffic lobbies request reinforced corner brackets and replaceable seat cushions on Velcro.
•Which upholstery fabric lasts longest on commercial benches?
Martindale 50,000+ contract-grade fabrics (faux leather, microfibre, boucle) outperform residential textiles 3-4× in HoReCa use. Russian mills offer PU-coated polyester (Martindale 80k, Class B fire-rating EN 1021-1/2) suitable for hotels, clinics, retail. Ask for the fire certificate before shipping — port customs in EU/GCC may request it.
•What leg materials are available for ottomans and banquettes?
Standard options are solid beech, birch plywood, powder-coated steel (RAL on request), and brushed stainless steel. For wet zones (spa, pool lobbies) specify stainless AISI 304 or anodized aluminium. Russian factories ship with adjustable plastic glides (±10 mm) by default — request felt pads for parquet floors.
•Can benches be customized with logo embroidery or laser engraving?
Yes — most Russian upholstery factories offer logo embroidery on headrests/seat backs (MOQ 20 pcs) and laser engraving on wooden legs (MOQ 10 pcs). Provide vector AI/PDF artwork and Pantone reference. Add 7-10 days to lead time. For hospitality chains we recommend a removable embroidered cushion cover, easier to replace than a fixed logo.
•What is the typical MOQ and lead time for export orders?
MOQ for ex-works export is usually 20-50 pieces per model; mixed-container orders (40HQ ~ 80-120 benches) are accepted. Lead time: 25-35 days production + 7 days kitting and export packing. Russian Far East factories ship to Asia in 18-25 days via Vostochny; western factories ship to EU/MENA via St. Petersburg or Novorossiysk in 25-40 days.
•How are benches packed for sea freight?
Standard packing is flat-pack: legs detached, seat module in 5-layer corrugated carton with EPE foam corners, palletized on heat-treated ISPM-15 pallets and stretch-wrapped. Assembled banquettes for hospitality projects ship in wooden crates. Provide your destination port — we route via container yard with the best transit time and rate.
•Are fire-safety certificates available for hotels and public spaces?
Yes. Russian factories supply EN 1021-1/2 cigarette and match test certificates, BS 5852 (UK), and Crib 5 on request. For UAE/KSA hospitality projects also request Civil Defence approval for upholstered furniture. We bundle the test reports with the commercial invoice for customs.
•Do benches come fully assembled or flat-pack?
Both options exist. Flat-pack is the default for sea freight — saves up to 60% of container volume. Assembled banquettes are available for short routes (FCA Russia → Belarus/Kazakhstan by truck). For overseas buyers we strongly recommend flat-pack with assembly drawings and an Allen-key set included per carton.
