EAEU Ex certificates (TR CU 012) are based on the same IEC 60079 standards as ATEX and IECEx, and many operators in Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa accept them directly or after a local review. Some international oil companies mandate IECEx specifically — check your end client's specification and tell suppliers, as a number of Russian factories hold dual certification.
•Can intrinsically safe barriers work with field instruments from other brands?
Yes — IS barriers and signal isolators are generic interface devices. You match entity parameters (voltage, current, capacitance, inductance) between barrier and field device, regardless of brand. Suppliers provide full entity parameter sheets; send your instrument list and they will propose suitable barrier models for each loop.
•What lead time should an EPC contractor plan for a project package?
