Self-guards for the prepared routes of Via Ferrata. The whiskers, made of elasticated tape, have a shortened length for greater ease of use. At the ends of the whiskers are "Goose Automatic" carabiners with a sliding clutch for user convenience.
An additional shortened whisker is designed to use a third carabiner to safely pass an intermediate point or rest. The self belay jerk shock absorber reduces the strain on the user when stopping a fall. The shock absorber is housed in a detachable pouch for easy inspection and maintenance.
A half-snatch knot loop allows the self-arrest to be attached to the harness without the need for an additional carabiner.
