These are self-contained units that discharge extinguishing aerosol or powder automatically when triggered — no piping, no water supply, minimal maintenance. They suit electrical rooms, cable tunnels, generator enclosures, buses and storage units. For an importer they are attractive because installation is simple enough for local electricians rather than specialized sprinkler contractors.
•Are extinguishers and gas suppression cylinders shipped as dangerous goods?
Pressurized extinguishers and gas suppression cylinders fall under dangerous-goods transport rules; suppliers prepare the required declarations and UN-compliant packaging. This adds documentation but is entirely routine — these products are exported regularly. Aerosol generators and powder modules generally face simpler transport requirements; confirm specifics per product.
•Will fire detectors integrate with control panels I already distribute?
Conventional detectors connect to virtually any panel. Addressable detectors use vendor-specific protocols and must match the panel line — so if you distribute another brand's panels, source conventional detectors or take the panel and detectors as a system. Several Russian panel manufacturers offer complete addressable ecosystems worth evaluating as a distributed line.
•Can I get fireproofing compounds certified for my local construction code?
Manufacturers supply fire-resistance test reports showing protection time per steel section factor, plus application manuals. Most national approval bodies accept these as the technical basis, though some markets require local fire-lab testing of samples. Order a small trial batch for certification testing before committing to project volumes — suppliers support this.
•What minimum order makes export economical?
Extinguishers and detectors make sense from pallet quantities; fireproofing compounds from around a ton; suppression modules from project sets of 10–50 units. Many buyers consolidate a mixed pallet-to-container order across categories with one or two suppliers. Larger manufacturers provide engineering support: hydraulic calculations for water and foam systems, agent quantity calculations for gas suppression, and layout recommendations based on your room drawings.
