The transmission unit is a set of mechanisms by means of which the torque from the torque converter is transmitted to the on-board gearboxes of the bulldozer. The transmission unit includes a planetary gearbox, a single stage matching gearbox and a main gear.
These units are united by a common housing, to which the housing with the gearbox is attached on one side, and on the other side - the housing of the main gear and the matching gearbox.
