The weighing wagon is designed for verification, calibration and repair of wagon scales. The new wagon takes into account all the disadvantages of its predecessors - weight-checking wagons model A-300 and VPV-640.
In particular, it is capable of carrying 85 tonnes of reference cargo, which allows, taking into account the weight of the wagon, to carry out maintenance of railway scales with a load of up to 200 tonnes.
Increased load capacity of 135 tonnes is provided by modern three-axle bogies with inter-axle base corresponding to the base of running bogies of weighed wagons, which allows to increase the reliability of determination of metrological parameters of the scales during verification. Availability of a crane-beam allows to provide mechanisation of operations during verification works and reliable loading and unloading of reference weights and weighing trolleys.
