The network sectionalisation unit is designed for application on overhead power lines of three-phase alternating current with isolated, compensated or earthed neutral with frequency 50 Hz and 60 Hz of voltage classes 6-20 kV for the purpose of automatic localisation of damaged sections (in case of short-circuit occurrence on these sections), as well as formation of emergency signals about short-circuit current flow on the sections of lines on which it is installed. In addition, the controller performs the functions of network management in normal operation mode (in modes without short circuit) providing operational switching on/off load, the creation of repair schemes, the inclusion of backup sections of the network, creating a network configuration under the conditions of the optimum mode (by supplying an external control signal to the controller through communication channels), disconnection of underloaded or overloaded equipment.
