The purpose of the vessel includes such tasks as: towing and unshoaling of ships and vessels, extinguishing fires on emergency ships (vessels) and shore structures, evacuation of people and rendering medical aid to the injured rescued; supplying electric power to the emergency ship (vessel) and keeping it afloat; performing diving operations at depths up to 60 m, as well as collecting oil products from the sea surface, performing search and survey operations.
