Apex locator AVEX reduces the time of apex search practically twice, gives exact coordinates of apex with an error of ± 0,1 mm, whereas its location on X-ray image often differs from the real one by 0,5-0,7 mm. AVEX equally accurately detects the apex of each root canal in multi-rooted teeth. It makes it possible to determine the position of both the physiological and anatomical apex: when the instrument reaches the physiological constriction and further advances, a precise indication scale is activated.
The instrument measures in all clinical environments. Pulp residue, purulent contents, blood and chemical preparations do not affect the accuracy of the readings.
