The functioning of our drying chambers is not based on evaporation of moisture from the surface of the lumber, but on boiling of moisture inside the billets, the vapour from which is subsequently pressed outwards. In this way, the wood is dried both on the surface and from the inside.
Boiling is carried out throughout the entire volume. As the air pressure rapidly decreases, the moisture inside the wood reaches boiling point and is converted into vapour.
The high pressure generated in each cell pushes the vapour outwards, thus drying the wood. As a result, there is a minimal expenditure of thermal energy.
