Borated boards, manufactured by hot pressing from high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) with the addition of amorphous boron. Depending on the percentage of boron content plates PB-3, PB-5, PB-7, PB-8, PB-10 are produced (by agreement with the customer).
They are intended for bioprotection of personnel from fast neutron irradiation. These plates are used in structures operating at temperatures up to +100°C and relative air humidity up to 100%, as well as in reactor irradiation conditions.
It is allowed to use the plates in water, including sea water, at water temperature from -2°C to +35°C..
